Spain has the market cornered in magnificent coastlines. Costa Blanca, or White Coast, lies on the country’s eastern side and runs for an impressive 220 km. With average temperatures of 18 degrees all year round on Costa Blanca holidays, it’s also one of the most heavily visited regions in all of Spain. The Irish bump these numbers too as we just love the area from Benidorm all the way further south to Torrevieja. Located in the Province of Alicante (the capital), Costa Blanca earned its name from the endless miles of dazzling white beaches. The region also has some dramatic cliffs and, further inland, fragrant groves or orange and almond trees. Skimmed by Mediterranean waters, the whole long, curving coastline of Costa Blanca is heavenly for holidays and even the Spaniards don’t disagree. Many of the mainlander locals have holiday homes in the area, a sure sign of quality infrastructure.

A sunny coast that stretches through holiday resorts, local towns and fishing villages, Costa Blanca holidays have an endless supply of soft silver sand beaches, Mediterranean bathing, a rich culture and delicious cuisine. Resorts that need no presentation like bustling Benidorm are a visitor’s safe haven. Apart from being one of the best known on the coast, Benidorm provides just about everything you might possibly need on a sun holiday. Costa Blanca holidays are general like that. The resorts all cater to leisure activities, watersports and sound infrastructure and they all work to create perfect conditions to bring the visitor back time and again. The natural landscape doesn’t hurt either! Beautiful beaches and a lovely dry climate are fantastic attributes.

Climate

Costa Blanca holidays offer dry springs and hot summers, probably why we Irish thrive in the climate as there is very little rain. The months of April, May and October are cooler, but mostly pleasant with temperatures usually in the late teens. Rarely does the arrow fall below 18 degrees.
