Discover Holidays to Playa de Muro
One of Majorca’s best kept secrets, the little resort of Playa de Muro is situated on the north eastern coast of the island, almost wedged between C’an Picafort and Alcudia. Definitely not an “A lister” in terms of its popularity or notoriety and definitely all the better for that, Playa de Muro holidays are a real delight. One of those traditional fishing hamlets that made a successful jump to tourist resort, Playa de Muro today still has plenty of traces of its past life. Nearly enveloped in the greenness of S’Abfueira National Park, the resort has two distinct faces, the quieter Alcudia Pins and Las Gaviotas, where the shops and bars are located. Sunshine, sea and sand are the winners here though.
From a tiny fishing village to a laid back holiday resort, the biggest draw of Playa de Muro holidays is a Blue Flag beach that runs for about 5 km. If you enjoy watersports, the resort offers a good range and of course, you can just loll on the beach instead. The water is pristine and safe enough for teeny swimmers too. The National Park has nature in abundance, so there are lovely walking and hiking trails if you’re up to it. Very family oriented, the resort caters well to both adults and kids with all the amenities geared towards value and choice. Be sure to bring the kids to Amaze’n Labertinos Fun Park where they will adore the gigantic wooden maze with lots of games inside.
A current, valid Passport is necessary for all visitors. Irish citizens do not require a visa, but other nationalities need to check with their own Embassy.
